Originally started in 1971 as the International Conference on Electronic Spectroscopy (ICES), ICESS has grown significantly and its scope has been widened to include new discoveries in properties of electrons and their interactions in systems (ranging from an atom to complex material system) as well as new experimental methods.
Benefitting from recent significant developments in new synchrotron and free electron laser facilities, more and more important new discoveries and new characterization methods have emerged and will be highlighted in ICESS-14. Following the tradition, specific topics for discussion will include Atomic and Molecular Science, Quantum Materials, Novel Instrumentation, In-situ Characterization, and etc. ICESS-14 is a five-day conference. In addition to the scientific program there will be Vendors, Publishers, and Facilities Exhibition.
ACS Publications will host its symposium on “Innovation in Materials Science” at ShanghaiTech University in Shanghai, China from July 29-31, 2018. The three-day scientific program will feature five plenary sessions on important topics influencing the field of material science. Attendees have the opportunity to share their science during poster sessions and network with their peers and 16 world-renowned scientists and lecturers.
